You OTTA Been There!
January 5th, 2010 by WCVA

For two days in January, many of Oregon’s tourism professionals gathered in Washington County, and the WCVA rolled out the red carpet. It was a great opportunity to rub shoulders with the movers-and-shakers who bring groups to Washington County, as well as to the state of Oregon.
This group represents the Oregon Tour & Travel Alliance (OTTA), which held its meeting January 14-15, 2010, at the Century Hotel and Hayden’s Lakefront Grill in Tualatin.
OTTA is an independent, non-profit professional organization, with a mission to increase group tour and packaged travel to Oregon. Its members are companies and businesses throughout the state, including destination marketing organizations, lodging properties, attractions, restaurants, tour operators and more.
This OTTA meeting highlighted several spots in the County. Stakeholders who signed up enjoyed this sampling of events, which showcased many of the offerings of our destination. Here was the itinerary:
Thursday, January 14
“Mini-Break” in Washington County
Guests will be treated to catered food and a tour of Hawks View Cellars, then receive a professional RYG Golf Instruction at RedTail Golf Center, then treated to a special performance by the Broadway Rose Theatre Company (with a surprise tasting), and the evening culminating with desserts and tea at the Wildlife Center at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. (Bus departs promptly at 4:45 p.m.)
