The Board of Directors
The WCVA is governed by a Board of Directors, which serves as an advisory board. The board consists of members of segments of the community representing Washington County industries affected by tourism (either directly or indirectly). These include:
- Three representatives from Chambers of Commerce (Teri Koerner, Forest Grove Chamber; Jonae Armstrong, Washington Square; Dylan Campy, Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club)
- Three from the lodging industry (Tracy Reynolds, Beaverton Courtyard by Marriott; Kim Ortiz, Tigard Courtyard by Mariott; and Josh Sanders, The Grand Hotel at Bridgeport)
- Two citizens at large (Bob Van Dyk, Pacific University; Lisa DuPré, Washington County Fair Complex)
- One member of the County Board of Commissioners (Commissioner Tom Brian)
- One city councilor or mayor (Denny Doyle, Mayor of Beaverton)
- Three non-lodging tourism stakeholders from wine, nature, sports or arts (Jim McElhinny, THPRD; Norman Penner, Friends of the Refuge; Barbara Gross, Cooper Mountain Vineyards)
- One from a for-profit corporation or private business (TBD)
